Here is a link to some of my most recent articles. I have reported from all over D.C., covering a range of topics, including environmentalism, public opinion, entertainment, social justice, and data-focused reporting.

Two Pens

Mini-Documentary

This mini-documentary was created as part of my journalism capstone project. I focused on the Weed Warriors of Montgomery County, Maryland, a group dedicated to removing non-native invasive species to promote biodiversity and support healthy plant growth. I spoke with community members and learned about the diverse passions that drive their work.

News Package

The ballot were closing for Initiative 83, and both sides of the initiative were working hard to get their voices heard. Initiative 83 would change D.C.’s voting system to rank-choice and only allow candidates to win if they have over 50% of the vote. It would also allow D.C. independent voters to vote in primary elections. Make All Votes Count D.C. fought to pass this initiative, believing it would enable candidates to be held accountable more and give voters a voice. Say No to Initiative 83 thought that this initiative would instead have more votes be eliminated. I spoke with Ruby Coleman, a student leader at Make All Votes Count D.C., and Deirdre Brown, Chair of Say No to Initiative 83, to see how this initiative will directly affect D.C. residents.
